There are plenty of resources on campus that can help students through tough times, whether it’s educational services or mental distress, these resources can help students strive in a college lifestyle.
SASC
SASC is the Student Academics Success Center, a tutoring service that is provided by the University of New England to students who are struggling with all types of academics. The University of New England provides peer directed tutoring services with students who are proficient in a wide variety of academics. SASC is located on the second floor of the commons and can be accessed by talking to any workers that are present. It is made very simple and easy to schedule a meeting to go over any sort of work. Academic tutoring is also offered by professional staff as needed.
UNE Library
The library at UNE is home to plenty of information and educational resources that can be very useful to students who are looking for information on certain projects or work related studies. The library employees are also available to provide information when needed, or show you to specific texts needed for work. The library is an important piece of resource that can be used to students benefits.
Professors Office Hours
Office hours are an extremely useful tool to all students, professors are kind enough to allow students to come and see them to ask about class work and other questions they may have. Professors will sit down with you and locate any issues that you may be having and help you work through them. Their scheduled times where they are available to meet with students is usually posted on their syllabus for class.
Various Study Areas
There are a large amount of study rooms/areas around campus which students go to in order to get unbothered work done. There areas also provide individual rooms where groups are able to study together. The second floor of the commons is the largest study area on campus, they provide desks, computers, rooms, and even help with SASC if it is needed. These study areas will be crucial to obtaining good grades and keeping on track with your work.
