The piece of print media that I chose was an article written about the supreme court decision to overturn Roe v Wade and the change in the abortion laws. With the decision to overturn the abortion laws and regulations, the U.S underwent a major shift. Now over a year later after the decision, the consequences are being felt and dealt with for the entire nation. This article shows light on the emerging trends on a state-level with their abortion regulation. These new regulations shows a major influence on the judicial decisions on public norms and social norms.
The article also talks about the fights between the anti abortion activists and the pro abortion activists. Talking about the fundamental issues with an individuals body. Overall, it is significant in signifying the constant and still very present struggle of abortion regulations across America. There are not many pictures within the article but it’s very engaging because it talks about issues that are occurring in real time and issues that can affect people my age as well. It is important to realize the difficulty of the situation and how much it can affect the lives of people in need.
It is effective at reaching a large audience because it is using a form of media that many people have access to in todays age. The internet is more useful and engaging then paper related forms of media.
