About the Authors

Patrick Stevens

My name is Patrick Stevens and I am currently a sophomore here at UNE. I came into school as an education. However I realized that Education is not my passion and I demoted it to a minor and will be picking a major in Business. Apart from my studies I am also on the lacrosse team. Being a student athlete gives me the ability to see a side of school that most other people do not. I think that gives me an advantage when it comes to a bunch of things because I am surrounded by so many people in different areas of their studies. I fell in love with UNE because of the landscape of this campus and the location as well.

Tony D’Arcangelo

My name is Tony D’Arcangelo and I am currently a sophomore here at UNE in the graduating class of 2026. I am a communications major and I am hoping to go into the field of sports journalism or sports analytics. I am a student athlete here at UNE, I play football for the team here. Something interesting about me was that I am a transfer to UNE  through the NCAA athletic transfer portal and I got here in the spring semester of 2023. My previous institution was called Southern Connecticut State University. Some things that I enjoy about campus are the amazing views and the fun loving environment. I hope that the students can get something of importance in regards to this handbook.

Tyler Richards

My name is Tyler Richards, I am a business administration major and will be graduating in 2026. I play football for the school and I also like to take part in activities that occur around campus. I enjoy all types of physical activities as well as spending my time outside with friends. I am a huge fan of hiking and fishing, whenever I am home I try to get out as much as possible. My goal with my education is to get a job based in finances and accounting. I hope that students are able to read this handbook and take away and use the lesson we mentioned. These lessons will provide students with a general understanding on what is needed to be successful in college. I’m hoping that students learn how to navigate the troubles of college living and that they learn how to grasp the opportunities to grow and thrive.

Colette

Hello! My name is Colette, but everyone I know calls me Coco. I’m a Sophomore English major here attending my second year at UNE as I’m writing this, and I spend most of my time working on my homework as I work shifts at the library. I love anime, manga, and all of my friends I’ve made up here at UNE. I’ve been a Type One Diabetic since I was three years old and have been attending a Type One Diabetic camp back in my home state of New Jersey for 15 years now. When I’m not in class I can find myself taking walks by the cliffside behind East and West, going swimming in the pool in the Campus Center, or practicing ice skating at the Forum’s daily stick and puck events on the ice rink. I love to listen to music (Baby Keem, MFDOOM, Kid Cudi, Alex G, Joyce Manor, KIng Von, Bon Iver, Brand New, etc…), write poetry, and play videogames in my free time (Soulsborne games, the Fable series, Pokémon, Zelda, etc…)! I was born on April fourth in 2004 and my graduation year is 2026. I grew up in Princeton, New Jersey and moved to Franklin, Massachusetts for two years in fourth and fifth grade until moving back to Hopewell, New Jersey. I’m extremely close with my younger brother, he’s my favorite person in the world, and I decided to come to UNE because my parents had a house in Norway, Maine on North Pond growing up. Originally, I came to UNE in hopes of majoring in Bio-Science and then going to graduate school in pursuit of becoming a toxicologist. But math is not a favorable subject of mine, and I’ve always loved to write, so I switched to English in my second semester of my Freshman year. I love poetry and kayaking on the waterfront that UNE offers before the cold sets in. But I didn’t just come up here for that, my older brother also has a bar in Portland called Rebel Munchies & Libations. I can’t wait to see what assets UNE will give me in the future as I continue attending!
